My life is about my art and my life is in my art. I am now primarily considered a mixed media artist in both my paintings and sculpture, but often I just have the great urge to simply paint and fragmented memories surface in this work making it a collage of emotions, this is especially true of the work in this show. All of my work is highly autobiographical, this intention in my work is probably the most of myself that I could possibly share with anyone. Fortunately for me, this aspect of my work has resonated with my audience and the resulting discourse has enriched both my art practice and my teaching.
I have an MFA, an MBA, and multiple undergraduate degrees in Painting, Sculpture and Photography. Though my “main” job is about being an artist, I also teach post-colonial theory and analysis through art and professional practices in the graduate school of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
My work can be found in galleries around the United States and in Europe.
