I believe in interconnectedness. I create my own reality and the environment that surrounds me. Nothing is separate. Through self-analysis and my own creations, I search for clues to obtain a greater sense of who I am. My obsessively analytical and emotional mind is stimulated and inspired by vibrant color, texture and depth.
My work reflects my inner workings. At one point in my life, I dreamt of being a rock-star package designer. I now tear up packages and reuse them in different forms. Color, pattern and shape speak to me. I'm a collector. I no longer look at aluminum cans without a desire to give them new life.
I use art as a form of self-therapy and discovery. As I create, I explore my inner landscape. I’m attempting to uncover a stifled sound. It’s my challenge to express this internal voice through my art and ultimately, boldly, out loud.
