My love of nature is very often reflected in my art. The meditative and inspiring powers of fresh air and beautiful scenery always seem to energize me and at the same time help me to be reflective and peaceful. The process of working on a collage piece, the selecting, cutting and positioning of the components, is also frequently an energizing and meditative experience.
Some of the most interesting and fun aspects of making art are the surprises that happen during the process. Just like a hike, a journey, or even an ordinary errand — it is often when the unexpected happens that make it all the more intriguing and adventurous.
My adventure in art also gives me the opportunity to express several of my other interests and passions such as: travel, cultures, the dream world and women’s issues. I am very grateful for the inspiration gained from other artists. What a delight it is when I can in turn inspire someone else. For me that is always the greatest gift.
