Glenna Mills art

Glenna Mills

I look upon my arms and see the drying out process going on.  I look upon my clay sculptures and notice the same process without wrinkles.  If anything, the clay will crack if dried too fast and I will simply pass away under the same circumstances.

Clay is an expression of my imagination.  I put my hands to it and characters pop up and insist on bending when I thought they were to stand and stand when I’d planned to have them sit.  Two heads, four hands, two legs with fins and the words running past my eyes, one plus two equals … well, I don’t know.  Are they conjoined twins?

Art is a window into the hills and dales of the brain.  I’m fascinated by the imagery, the music, the insistence on being seen and heard.  What do I hear? What do I see?  These images are often a mystery to me.
