When I got my first camera I felt inexplicably compelled to photograph certain objects. I think that an artist always feels compelled. What makes good art is the unique vision of the artist and the unique expression and presentation.
I studied photography at LACC and UCLA in Los Angeles. I sold several photographic essays to magazines and went on to interview and photograph authors, film directors and actors. When I moved to Northern California I focused on color photography and started taking pictures on various themes, such as windsurfing, computer boards and tall urban buildings. I had my photographs exhibited at many art galleries.
In my “Bright Lights, Big City” theme I examine how the reality of architectural structures and the fantasy of artistic explorations can interact through photography. The energized urban landscapes hold a special fascination for me.
